Mamata Banerjee hits out at Centre over ‘Great Selfish Tax’ (GST), calls note ban a ‘disaster’
Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress Chairperson Mamata Banerjee on Monday slammed demonetisation and the Good Services Tax (GST), in tweets posted this morning.
Writing on Twitter, Mamata described the move to ban high currency notes on November 8 last year as a disaster.
She further called on people to change their display picture on Twitter to black on November 8 this year to protest against demonetisation.
Further, she described the national tax GST as “Great Selfish Tax”, calling it a move to harass people.
