New Year’s gift – Bengal CM unveils State logo

Bengal got her own State logo today. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee officially unveiled the logo today.

The State Government had applied for a State logo in the month of May in 2017. The official clearance has been received in this new year.

The Chief Minister has herself designed Bengal’s logo. It features ‘Biswa Bangla’ logo along with Ashoka Pillar. All government documents will now feature this logo.

Incidentally, the CM has also come up with logos for various government schemes like Kanyashree, Sabuj Sathi and Gatidhara.

Highlights of her speech: 

Speaking of the occasion, the Chief Minister said: “Bengal Government has own logo. This is a historic moment. We will use this logo for all government communication.”

She said that the proposal to change the name of the State is also under consideration.

The CM added: “Bengal’s Finance Ministry has been adjudged the best in the country for filing 53,000 e-tenders for Rs 36,000 crore. In the past we have won awards for e-taxation and e-governance.

This logo is a new year gift for the people of the State, she said.
