An afternoon with Mr. Bruce Bucknell at GNIT – His Excellency British Deputy High Commissioner at Kolkata

The Government of India’s call to skill India has made many centres of learning sit up to the fact the true academic success is now also closely related to the industry readiness of their graduates. Guru Nanak Institute of Technology (GNIT) has several outreach programs for knowledge exchange and sharing to facilitate smooth synergy between academia, business, industry and community.
For addressing further this very topical and pertinent subject the Guru Nanak Institute of Technology held an interactive session on Employability and Skill Development for its students with the British Deputy High Commissioner to Kolkata, Mr. Bruce Bucknell on 14th February, 2018

The students get practical sessions for being work ready through orientation programmes, grooming sessions, mock interviews, summer internships for hands on experience in the professional world.

There is much that needs to be done to provide skill training to graduates that have real life application beyond academic classroom training.
