Chinese Consulate Kolkata to Hold Higher Education Expo 2018
China land of opportunity and knowledge from ancient time, none can ignore her global presence in terms of developments in science, technology, and cultural supremacy. The Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Kolkata Ma Zhanwu is one of the most active diplomats in Kolkata to develop friendship via education and cultural exchange between India and China.

Biswa Bangla Convention Centre in Kolkata will hold Chinese Higher Education Expo 2018 at from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM from 10 to 11 May 2018.
Over 60 well-known Chinese universities from eleven provinces and municipalities will attend the Expo.
And Dr. Partha Chatterjee, the Honourable Minister-in-Charge, Department of School Education & Higher Education, State Government of West Bengal, has confirmed his attending the inauguration of the EXPO.
The Expo is part of the on-going effort of the Chinese Consulate to promote cultural and educational exchanges between China and the five states in Eastern India, namely, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh.
In November 2016, the Chinese Consulate held the first such EXPO successfully in Kolkata, and 32 Chinese universities were represented at it.
Unlike UK, USA, and Australia for higher education, China is gaining popularity very fast among Indians and almost 20000 students are now studying in China.
