NSHM Knowledge Campus collaborates with Forum of Scientists, Engineers & Technologists (FOSET) for the 10th Inter University Engineering, Science & Technology Academic Meet – 2019
Kolkata, April 12th April 2019: NSHM Knowledge Campus for the first time collaborated with Forum of Scientists, Engineers & Technologists (F0SET), Maulana Abul Kalaam Azaad University of technology and Indian society for Technical education (ISTE), W. B. Section for the 10th Inter University Engineering, Science & Technology Academic Meet 2019. The event was held at NSHM’s Kolkata campus in the presence of Mr. Cecil Antony, Chief Mentor & Managing Trustee of NSHM Knowledge Campus, Prof. (Dr.) Saikat Maitra, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of MAKAUT, W. B., Prof. Ashik Paul, General Secretary, FOSET, Prof. (Dr.) Krishnendu Sarkar, Director, NCMT, Prof. (Dr.) Subhasis Maity, director, School of Health Sciences, NSHM Knowledge campus, and the Chairman of Pollution Control Board etc.
The program was designed to provide a platform to nurture interest in science and technology among students. Through similar activities, the larger objective of institutes is to explore and encourage talent and promote creativity among youth, with the expectation is that this would create a sustainable society.
A sustainable society is necessary to create a future without hampering the natural resources. Innovation in terms of products and services are the need of the hour for an effective future. This platform not only helped the participating students highlight their talent in building the models such as electric circuits, instruments, system demonstrations etc. but also gave an opportunity to the teachers to present their research work. Overall, it was a knowledge-sharing platform where students, teachers assembled for a common cause.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Cecil Antony, Chief Mentor and Managing Trustee, NSHM Knowledge Campus said, ‘We,as an institute believe in the holistic development of our students and creating an interactive atmosphere in the campus so as to enable constructive learning. NSHM promotes practical experience via academic meets, workshops, conferences rather than just depending on the classroom pattern of learning theories. We are glad to be associating with the 10th Academic meet 2019 organized by FOSET. Success of such competitions lies in analyzing how the future generation is adapting to science and technology and created models, which are truly unique. Such initiatives are unique in its own way as it helps in achieving self-reliance in socio economic development.”
