ICC Delegation takes off to USA
As one of the earliest voices of the organized business fraternity of the country, ICC has spent more than nine decades to facilitate the growth of industry and commerce since 1925. During this entire time span, ICC has been partnering with various developmental initiatives of Government of India and different state governments.
Being strategically operational from Kolkata, we have always subscribed to the view of “trade as an engine of growth” and emphasized the role of building bi-lateral relations to foster economic growth and development. In the post-recessionary scenario, the importance of international trade and commerce has become even more intensified for generation of income and gainful employment. Keeping this in mind, we have been organising various business delegations to venture into prospective overseas markets.
The latest sequel in this series of overseas business promotion initiatives of ICC, includes taking an Indian Business Delegation to USA actively supported by Indian Embassy in USA. The Delegation will include – Mr. Rudra Chatterjee, President, ICC & Chairman, Obeetee, Mr. Mayank Jalan, Chairman & MD, Keventer Agro Ltd., Mr. Vikash Agarwal, President, Rupa & Co. Ltd, Mr. Gyanesh Chaudhary, MD & CEO, Vikram Solar, Mr. Siddhant Kaul, MD, Nicco Engineering Services Ltd, Mr. H V Poddar, Director, PFH Oil & Gas Ltd & ATO Ltd. Capital, Mr. Arnav Dalmia, Director, Quality Group & CEO, Fitness Cubed, Mr. Gaurav Sharma, Director, Sunrise Foods, Dr. Rajeev Singh, Director General, Indian Chamber of Commerce among others.
The delegation has been scheduled to have high powered meetings in Washington DC USA which includes meetings with Mr. Ian Steff, Assistant Secretary for Global Markets and Director General of Foreign and Commercial Service,US Department of Commerce, US State Department, Ms. Aparna Subramani ED World Bank besides some important focused B2B meetings with large US companies having specific business interests in India. In New York, the delegation will visit the MasterCard NYC Technology Hub, the New York Stock Exchange etc. apart from focused B2B meetings with large US companies
There will also be Seminars on “US India Business Relations”, which is scheduled to be held on 24th April at USIBC in Washington DC, and on 26th April 2019 at the Indian Consulate in New York. I am glad to share with you that these Business Seminars will be addressed by luminaries like Dr Arvind Panagaria, Mr Swadesh Chatterjee etc who would share their thoughts and vision.
