AARO EKBAR FOSSILS TO SET UP A SCHOOL BUILDING FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN
As Carpe Diem, we have been always eager and proactive to take up arduous, creative and uphill projects in the realm of Performing Arts with the conviction that Carpe Diem should always conceptualize and showcase unique concepts in its artistic endeavors.
None other than Fossils would perform their first-ever fundraising concert on 1st September 2019 at Nazrul Manch with the event name ” Aaro Ekbar Fossils”. currently comprises Rupam Islam (lead vocals, additional guitars), Deep Ghosh (rhythm guitar), Allan Ao (lead guitar), Tanmoy Das (drums), Prasenjit ‘Pom’ Chakrabutty (bass).
The raised funds will be in aid of the of underprivileged kids of Girijyoti Vidyalaya for building their school that’s the reason Fossilsconsiders it as the ” Maha Concert”.
Carpe Diem presents this unique concert, happening for the first time, where Rupam Islam and his band Fossils will speak about the school and why they would support the same.
Carpe Diem is a new Art Entrepreneurship started out of passion and creative pursuits by Somnath Dasgupta and Samarpita Chanda, trying to organize events which are unique with a social commitment. We always believed that Performing Arts is just not for sheer entertainment but also plays a pivotal role in Community Development.
‘Aaro Ekbar Fossils’ is one of such initiatives of Carpe Diem which have been dreamt of with a fiery passion! We have a unique concept, a legendary rock band like Fossilswhich will surely create the Magic in this city of Joy! This concert has the purpose of ‘Community Development through Performing Arts’ and aims at raising funds and support Girijyoti Vidyalaya in Siliguri – a school for the underprivileged children who do not have a school building to study.
