In Bangalore, there are more than 13 lakhs Bengalees living here and mostly employed in IT Sectors. Bangalore is now their 2nd home. This year Bengalees of Bangalore chose to celebrate Karnataka Rajotsava Day in a unique way. Bongio Samaj Bengaluru organized Swatch Bharat Abhiyan to make Ulsoor Lake plastic-free. Karanataka Flag was hoisted in The Bengalee Association premises by the Bongio Samaj team. Volunteers across Bangalore joined for this initiative along with few local Karnataka Organisations. Film Director Mr. Navin Reddy B also was part of this initiative. Volunteers collected various plastic wastes around the Ulsoor Lake compound. Mr. Anjan Ray, the Chief Advisor of Bongio Samaj and Managing Director of Ray Chemicals quoted “it is the responsibility of all Bangalorean now to take care of our environment and save earth from mighty plastic wastes. We all have to join hands to save our water bodies and nature. Through this initiative, we would like to inspire all communities living in Bangalore to take up such initiatives and make Bangalore clean”. Bongio Samaj Bengaluru’s team also felicitated Mr. Navin Reddy and also wished him all success for his upcoming debut “Khakii” Kannada Film which is going to release in last week of December.
