Kolkata, November 24, 2019: Kolkata leading bookstore chain Starmark, in association with Pan Macmillan India, hosted a conversation between cricket aficionado and media & communications consultant Nilaanjana J Chakraborty and Simon Taufel, five-time ICC Umpire of the Year and author of the book ‘Finding the Gaps’ at its South City Mall outlet here today.
The conversation was based on Simon Taufel’s recent book ‘Finding the Gaps’, and various interesting aspects of cricket, including the first ever day-night Test match in India now being played with pink balls in Kolkata (from November 22 to 26, 2019).
About Simon Taufel
Simon James Arthur Taufel, is a former Australian cricket umpire who was earlier a member of the ICC Elite Umpires Panel. He won five consecutive ICC Umpire of the Year Awards between 2004 and 2008, and was generally considered to have been the best umpire in the world during his time.
About the book ‘Finding the Gaps’
Simon Taufel was adjudged the ICC Umpire of the Year from 2004 to 2008.
Through this book, Simon Taufel has brought out the best characteristics of an umpire. It was written in such a way that it is applicable beyond the boundaries of umpiring.
