Sangitanjali dedication to Shiva on Mahashiva night with tabla
Pandit Prodyut Mukherjee, a tabla player who received the world-famous GIMA Award, mesmerized people by playing tabla in Kashi Vishwanath Durbar on 23 February. There was such an atmosphere that it was felt that the god was enthroned and enjoying himself.
At the beginning of the program, Pandit Prodyut Mukherjee created the sound of the Damru from the tabla. The audience repeatedly proclaimed their devotion by saying Har Har Mahadev.
In the 60-minute programme Pandit Prodyut Mukherjee performed his special style with a pat on his cheek and the audience was enchanted by the chant. On the call of Pandit Prodyut Mukherjee, people cheered and clapped with the beat of tabla.
The program was organized under the aegis of Kashi Vishwanath Trust and Kashi Vikas Samiti Trust.

Pandit Prodyut Mukherjee is also a music producer, played the solo tabla in over 60 albums. His successful rendition of the Rhythm Express Music Band got the GIMA Award.
Pandit Mukherjee is an international level musician. He has visited and performed several times in France, the United Kingdom, Germany, Morocco, Japan, South Korea, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong and the United States, Canada. In 2004, he performed at an international cultural festival in South Korea at a special invitation from the Korean government. Prodyut received special acclaim by all sections of the Korean Music Organization. He gave his music at ceremonies at a special invitation at the World Music Day celebrations in Paris (France), the World Holy Festival in Morocco, the Music Festival in Morocco, the Les Oriental Festival in France, the International Arts Festival in London, etc. Along with this, he has given excellent performances in many national and international festivals.
