Legendary footballer Shri Pradip Kumar Banerjee was admitted to Medica Superspecialty Hospital on 07.02.2020.

He is suffering from respiratory problems due to pneumonia and with an underlying history of Parkinson’s disease and Dementia and heart problems.

He is on ventilatory support at intensive care. Today there has been a deterioration in his health condition; after reviewing his chest condition the multi-disciplinary team of consultants suggested deferring the plan of initiation of weaning off for the next 3-4 days time.

The team of consultants will review the progress day wise and take a call once his lung condition shows signs of improvement. To provide additional support to heart, temporary pacing has been done today evening.

Family members were briefed about all developments in details and they have expressed their satisfaction towards the ongoing treatment and efforts put in by entire medical team at Medica.
