Nirbhaya rape case or the 2012 Delhi Gang Rape Case has an ongoing case for 7 long years now. However today, Friday, 20th of March. The four convicts of the case have been finally hanged.

“I have seen Nirbhaya’s mother’s struggle over the years, though it took time to get justice but it has been done finally. It is also a message to people that you can run away from law but cannot finally avoid it. I’m happy that justice has been done,” Smriti Irani said.
The convicts of the case expressed their last wishes, minutes before their hanging. Mukesh Singh expressed that he wished for his organs to be donated. Vinay Sharma wanted his paintings to be given to the jail superintendent and his Hanuman Chalisa to his family.
None of the convicts had any proper will formed or made.
The four men convicted were hanged early at the break of dawn in Delhi’s Tihar Jail. All of them were hanged simultaneously at 5:30 AM. For the brutal gang rape and murder of Nirbhaya, a term coined by the public for the victim. Who was a 23-year-old college student.
The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination after which the remains will be handed over to their families.
