Kolkata 27 April, 2020: Amid the essential protocol of the lockdown to help curb the spread of the pandemic, many are rediscovering bonds and the pleasure of spending time together. Indulging and engaging children as well as sharing household chores is the new normal. Everyone is busy reviving hobbies, exploring to learn new things, bonding over family time from workouts, to home parties, to sharing the kitchen and discovering new ways to navigate and effortlessly finish the everyday household chores. It is no different for Tollywood’s most prominent and critically acclaimed actors.
To break the monotony and also bring fun behind the scene of the favourite cine stars, Nimyle with Ogilvy India conceptualised India’s first “Nimyle Cleaning Champion”. The unique reality show with the reigning star of Bengali cinema, Prosenjit Chatterjee, as the host, redefines entertainment by challenging some leading film and TV personalities in Bengal to showcase their unique ways of helping with household chores. Nimyle, ITC’s 100% natural action floor cleaner made with the power of Neem, presents a unique take which encourages more men to participate and be equally responsible for household chores. The endeavour is to break the age-old stereotypical gender- based narrative especially around mopping floors through a series inviting leading Men from the cine world to amplify and encourage this thought. The show will feature popular actors like Ankush Hazra, Mir Afsar Ali, Sean Bannerjee aka Dr. Ujaan and Rezwan Rabbani Sheikh aka Arjyo of Star Jalsha in its first season.
The episodes of Cleaning Champion will be available on Nimyle’s social media pages as well as telecasted on Star Jalsha from 24th April 2020 onwards.
The celebrities will give their fans a sneak-peek into their living rooms and display their sweeping and mopping skills. Talking about Nimyle Cleaning Champion, Prosenjit Chatterjee says, “It has been a month of the lockdown and each of us are doing our bit to stay home and help everyone around stay safe. While at home, at this particular time, I realised how we as a family have rediscovered simple joys of doing things together. Household chores like mopping the floor can also be so much fun is a realisation with Nimyle Cleaning Champions. Men competing for the Nimyle Cleaning Champion title in my opinion is a first and an important step forward in embracing equality at home.”
As the telecast partner and a collaborator on this unique Nimyle series, Mr. Avishek Mandal EVP & Channel Head, Star Jalsha & Jalsha Movies said, “We are very happy to associate with this initiative by ITC Nimyle. Star Jalsha, as a brand has always worked towards creating positive change-stories and has built role-models that embody the brand philosophy of ‘Chalo Paltai’- Lets Change. With this campaign the core thought of asking men to share responsibility of the household chores is a perfect fit for our brand and we are confident that with our extensive channel reach, we will be able to amplify the campaign manifold”.”
