Akaash Ojana Tobu (Yet Unknown Sky) A cloud short film in Bengali releasing soon
A few days back Big B Amitabh Bachchan appeared in a short social film featuring many of legendary actors in lockdown. It was all about a simple incident finding Amitabh Bachchan’s glasses by the other stars one by one but all the artistes shot their own scenes at their places. Interestingly you would not get any jarring experience visually.It was done through could short. Eventually, Akaash Ojana Tobu ( Yet Unknown Sky ) a La Pelicula Motion Pictures and leading Indian Digital Content Strategist Ayanjit Sen’s coming short film is a cloud short film in Bengali.
The film is all set to be released on BONGO APP, 17th July,2020. Eventually, it’s one of the first Cloud short films to be released on an OTT PLATFORM in India. Cloud short is all about the director’s virtual presence wherever shooting is being done. From shooting the whole film on a mobile phone to editing and all post-production works on mobile phones where the director’s virtual presence is a must. Keeping the form in mind in this film the director has guided the actors over a video conference call as the shooting took place at actors’ residence. Already the film has got awards in 3 international film festivals and nominated in 6 international film festival namely Filmarte short film selection (Portugal)- Nominated, Bizzarya Film festival (Italy)- Nominated, New Normal film festival (India) – Special Festival Mention, International film festival DI RIVOLI (Italy)- Nominated, Virgin Spring Cine fest (West Bengal)- SILVER AWARD WINNER, Formulaboxx (Singapore)- Nominated,7 seconds international film festival – Nominated, Tagore international film festival (India)- Critics Choice award, Nirmal Pandey Smriti Film festival (India) – Nominated.
India’s famous Dadasaheb Phalke film festival awardee, BBC award winning music director and world renowned percussionist Abhishek Basu, has directed the film besides the screenplay & dialogue have been written by him.Tejas Gandhi the renowned fashion designer is responsible for the associate direction.
The film revolves around ups and downs of relationship between a married couple Pakhi ( Sanchari Dutta ) and Arjun( Fiaz Khan ) as Pakhi doubts her childhood friend Ragini ( Amrita Halder ) has a relationship with her husband Arjun ( Faiz Khan ),suddenly things start changing from Pakhi’s perspective, when she comes to know from Ragini that Arjun is suffering from lung cancer. It is all about will Pakhi be able to save her marriage?
Abhishek himself has given music in the film, along with Avik Ganguly. The story has been written by poet Alo Basu.Editing and post production has been done by Subhasish Mondal.
