Aloy Pherar Gaan an online concert is all set in aid of street children
The Academy Theater has been promoting Manchagaan for 36 years from its inception in 1984. It has already developed a comprehensive archive with over thirty thousand valuable books on music, theater, Jatra, cinema, a number of gramophone records, pictures, posters, billboards, musical instruments, cameras and many more. One production after another has been serving in the courtyard of Manchagaan, Panchakabir songs, drama songs, movie songs, Kavyagaan, folk songs, Jatra songs have been a partner. The Academy Theater is all set to present a virtual concert “Aloy Pherar Gaan” in collaboration with Riddhi Bandyopadhyay Music Academy on 12 December, 2020, 9pm onward where not only Bengali but also American, Canadian and artistes from England can be heard. It is aimed to help street children out of sale proceeds of tickets.
It will revolve around multi-genre song-drama-poetry (Rabindra Rachna in Spanish). Overall conceived by Devajit and Riddhi Bandyopadhyay. It will be graced by the performances by Devajit Bandyopadhyay, Riddhi Bandyopadhyay, Richa Sharma, Kanchana Maitra, Reshmi Mitra,Avirup Sengupta, Reshmi Bagchi and so on.
