WB Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar inaugurated the first ever conclave, “What Bengal Thinks Today”organized by TV9 Network
Famous politicians attended the inaugural Conclave
Kolkata, 30th January 2021: The first ever think fest of TV9 Network , “What Bengal Thinks Today” was inaugurated by West Bengal Governor Honorable Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar. TV9 Bangla ,the newly launched regional channel of TV9 Network. organized this day long think fest at ITC Sonar Bangla Hotel. Due to the upcoming election of West Bengal, the prime topic of this fest was “Banga Juddho Gadir Lorai”. Union Defence minister Shri Rajnath Singh was present online during the penultimate session of the day. TV9 Network’s Group CEO Barun Das was also present during the inauguration.
TV 9 initiated this intellectual meet based on the famous quote of the eminent congress leader Gopal Krishna Gokhale, “What Bengal thinks today, India thinks tomorrow”. The prime focus of this conclave was upcoming election of West Bengal. Eminent leaders from all major political parties of West Bengal have attended this intellectual session. The event has emphasized on many issues specifically related to upcoming assembly election in Bengal like “Violence in Bengal elections”, “Muslim Vote Factor”, “The Hindutva agenda”, “Nandigram”, “Corruption & outsider issue” and others. Top politicians of major political parties enlightened the attendees with their valuable speeches.
Heavyweight politicians like Partha Chattopadhyay, Shahnawaz Hussain, Firhad Hakim, Bratya Basu, Tathagata Roy, Soumitra Khan, Dola Sen, Arpita Ghosh, Riju Ghoshal, Shatarup Ghosh and others were present as a panelist. Union Cabinet Minister Prakash Javadekar and Congress Leader Adhir Ranjan Choudhury had attended the session virtually. Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Keshav Chandra Mourya and cabinet minister from Madhyapradesh Narottam Mishra were also present for a session. British Deputy High Commissioner in Kolkata Mr Nick Low was also present among the august audience.
