The point of discussion is definitely a valid point in this doubtful time of decisive election. But the question is honesty and ethical participation or any how winning is more important than democratic values?
Kolkata Press Club saw a galaxy of newsmakers joined the event and clear their views on the same.
Justice Mr.Asok Kumar Ganguly, Ex-Air Chief Mr. Marshal Arup Raha, Mr. Sandhi Mukherjee Ex Inspector General West Bengal, Advocate Mr.Jayanta Narayan Chatterjee, Rotary President and eminent Doctor Partha Sarathi Mukherjee, Mr. Debanjan Banerjee Media Educator, Ms. Nandini Bhattacharjee Social Activist were among the august presence on the stage.
Such discussion sometimes brings out an inner flavor of self contradiction just to remain politically correct. But speakers tried to do justice to the point of view in a justified manner.
One thing made the point clear: everyone is under doubt about what will happen and how peaceful the total election will remain. Either expressed explicitly or in a covered yet clear fashion. Dr. Mukherjee’s view reflected the vision and inner conflict, which is the main cause of the dilemma of the Peoples of Bengal. He made the point very clear with down-to-earth views. Justice Ganguly, Mr. Raha, or Mr. Sandhir Mukherjee all were showing the gems from their treasure trove of knowledge.
The undercurrent of fear and fear of the unknown is predominantly taking the subconscious mind for a troll for sure and hours of discussion can not remove that until the election is over.
Rastrabadi Patrakar Sangh was the organizer for the event to enlighten the minds of the moment.
