Law to regulate the legal status of stateless persons arriving in Russia without identity papers
The President signed Federal Law On Amendments to the Federal Law On the Legal Status of Foreign Nationals in the Russian Federation and Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation Regulating the Legal Status of Stateless Persons.

The Federal Law is aimed at regulating the legal status of stateless persons who enter the territory of the Russian Federation for extended periods of time without ID documents.
The Federal Law provides for the issuance of a temporary ID to a stateless person under certain conditions, to confirm his or her identity and to allow temporary stay in the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law also sets forth the procedure for the issuance of a temporary ID to a stateless person in the Russian Federation.
