This election shall decide Bengal’s future says noted percussionist and composer Prodyut Mukherjee
Award-winning percussionist and composer Prodyut Mukherjee who has just returned to the city after a sterling performance at the Lal Mati Utsab in Purulia said, I strongly believe that this election in Bengal shall change the fortunes of the state forever and it is one of the most important elections post-independence. I spoke to a lot of common people in my travels across the state post lockdown and everywhere there is a lot of hope and people feel whoever comes to power has to bring in a change in the governance towards positive growth.“
“For many years we the people of Bengal have suffered due to labour issues, lack of investment and development and despite the best efforts of the present Government the development and employment status of the State remains poor, so let the new Government focus on development.”
“The state of entertainment and live event industry is in complete shambles and it is directly related to lack of sponsors and investments from the corporate sector which is again related to lack of big industry presence in the State. I sincerely hope post 2021 things shall change for the better,” Prodyut concluded.
Prodyut Mukherjee is a prolific Indian percussionist having won numerous awards including the prestigious GIMA Award and has been touring across the globe over the past 3 decades.
