On Saturday, April 10, 2021, at about 3.50 pm, the on-duty lady RPF staff at Dum Dum metro station detected a bag containing gold ornaments weighing about 431 gms at the time of X-Ray luggage scanning of the bag. The owner of the bag was questioned about the source of this huge amount of gold but he failed to give any satisfactory reply.
Since the person could not produce any legal document and any valid paper for carrying such valuable material, the matter was informed to the local Sinthi Police Station at 4.20 p.m.
Police personnel of Sinthi Police Station came to Dum Dum Station at 5.00 p.m. and the detained person along with all recovered ornaments were handed over to them for further course of action.
