A significant loss for the media fraternity as one of the key members of the All Indian Reporters Association family and National Chief General Secretary Punit Nigam lost his life because of a cardiac arrest. A member who was instrumental in the organization’s development and fought for the cause of the media personals across the country is a personal loss to every member of the AIRA family. He was the Editor at Raj Media & Mass Communication & the National Chief General Secretary of All Indian Reporter’s Association (AIRA).

AIRA, All India President Tariq Zaki said, “We have lost a pillar of AIRA movement. A friend and guide in the association is no more I can not believe that. A loss that can not be replaced in any form,”
In a message, AIRA West Bengal State President Bishnu Chandra Pal expressed his condolence: “We are deeply saddened by the untimely death of Puneet Nigam, National Chief General Secretary of the All India Reporters Association. May his soul rest in peace, Deep condolences to his family.”
Suman Munshi AIRA, General Secretary, West Bengal State said, “I had a call with him last week and we discussed a lot of development plans, I am in complete shock can not believe that Nigam Ji is no more. A substantial loss for the organization and media movement in India. My condolence to the family and friends. All will remember him for a long time to come.”
