Indian Oil’s Eastern Region Office vaccinates its employees and stakeholders under “Vaccination at Workplace” programme.
Malda Bottling Plant becomes 1st to achieve 100% vaccination.

To ensure the wellbeing of employees and stakeholders, IndianOil’s Eastern Regional Office organised Mass Vaccination Camps at IndianOil Bhavan, Dhakuria from 28th to 30th April 2021 and on 17th May 2021 maintaining the “Vaccination at Workplace” protocol of the Union Government. Around 650 employees and other stakeholders received their first dose of vaccine through this vaccination drive.
Indian Oil’s Kolkata Divisional Office in association with Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals also arranged a Vaccination Camp for the frontline workers on 13th May 2021 at Smart RO (COCO Newtown), Kolkata. Apart from Customer Attendants, members of the dealer fraternity, vendors, contractors, field officers of adjoining districts were also vaccinated. Total 288 numbers of doses were vaccinated during this day long programme. Malda bottling plant is the 1st location under Eastern Regional Office which has achieved 100% vaccination (1st dose) by vaccinating 180 stakeholders which included POL drivers, contract workmen and employees. Indian Oil’s Kalyani Bottling Plant also had made arrangement at Kalyani on 17th May 2021 and 21st May 2021 for vaccination of LPG packed truck drivers. 164 Nos TT drivers have been covered through this vaccination drive at Kalyani BP so far. Raninagar (Siliguri) Bottling plants and Durgapur Terminal also came forward with the concept of ‘Vaccination at Workplace’ by vaccinating around 500 and 307 TT drivers/contract personnel respectively on 22nd May 2021.On 23rd May, 2021 Howrah Terminal also contributed in this mass vaccination campaign by vaccinating 205 stakeholders in a single day.
With a view to check and control the spread of COVID-19, a camp for Rapid Antigen Test was organizedat Khunti Terminal with the help of District Authorities. All the stakeholders including officers, staff, contract workers, security personnel & TT drivers proactively came forward and got themselves tested in the camp. Khunti terminal had also organised multiple vaccination camps for our frontline workers during which 293 stakeholders have been vaccinated. Vaccination camps have also been organised for our Patna BP, Barauni BP, Bokaro BP and Muzaffarpur BP.
With the support from Department of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of Nagaland, for Vaccination of Frontline workers, Dimapur BP have been able to vaccinate all Contract Workers of Dimapur BP and major chunk of the TT drivers. All contract workers (45 Nos) and 28 Nos TT drivers have been vaccinated so far from the plant. Similarly, Covid -19 Vaccination for POL/LPG network in Manipur started at RD Wing, Lamphelpat, Imphal since 14th May 2021. All contract workers (69 Nos) and 219 Nos TT drivers have been vaccinated till date. Similar vaccination drives have been held at various POL locations under IOAOD like Lumding Terminal, Doimukh Depot, Missamari Depot and Guwahati Terminal through which 132 contract workers and 350 TT drivers have been vaccinated till dateunder the leadership of Sh G Ramesh , Executive Director and State Head, IOAOD Office for the frontline workers.
More such Vaccination drives will be organised by IndianOil at its other operating/administrative locations in the days to come.
