Ahmednagar’s young professional was trapped into Crypto Currency Fraud of Rs.13000/-

Cyber-crimes have lately been on the rise. There has been yet another instance of bitcoin cyber-fraud with a professional from Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. The victim paid Rs.5000 to an alleged social media agent who promised quick returns within a span of 15 minutes. However the alleged accused kept demanding more money by coming up with all sorts of excuses like verification of account for international transaction, minimum refundable amount for double returns etc. Most people fall prey to such seemingly alluring deals.The victim was quick to realize that this was a big mistake and demanded his Rs.5000 to be returned. However he was reassured that by payment of Rs.8000 more, the entire amount would be deposited in his account with the returns, Rs.8000 being refundable. The victim warned the accused to return his money, but it was all in vain.

A further demand of Rs.15,000 was made in return of Rs.52,000 as profit by investing in online trading. A complaint was filed with the Ahmednagar police and subsequently an FIR was lodged against the accused. The police and cyber cell department is currently investigating the matter and looking into it to catch hold of the accused as soon as possible.
