Inauguration of Life-Certificate Submission Camp at Snehodiya, New Town Kolkata (From 01-11-2021 to 15-11-2021)
In order to maintain continuity of pension, the pensioners are required to submit a “Life Certificate” to the concerned banks in the
month of November, every year, to establish that they are alive. This mandatory provision results in a heavy rush of pensioners in different banks in the month of November, leading to a long wait for the aged pensioners in a long queue.
Keeping in view the said inconvenience faced by the pensioners, particularly in the prevailing pandemic situation, a Life-Certificate
Submission camp was organized last year maintaining Covid protocol, at the activity centre of Snehodiya, by the SBI (New Town Rajarhat Branch) in collaboration with WBHIDCO and NKDA for the relief of the pensioners irrespective of their bank affiliation. The said programme received a good response from the pensioners.
This year also, a similar programme has been organized at ‘Snehodiya’. This programme has been inaugurated today (01.11.2021) by Shri Debashis Sen, Hon’ble Chairman NKDA & Managing Director, WBHIDCO along with Mrs Ruma Dey, Chief General Manager, SBI, Kolkata Circle.
Online as well as manual submission of the Life Certificates by the pensioners have been facilitated by the SBI officials based on the
documents (Pension Payment Order, Aadhar Card, Bank Pension Account Number & Pension A/C number-linked Mobile phone) brought by the pensioners with them.
This camp will continue till 15th November 2021 (every day except bank holidays) from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm and 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm
