Pandit Prodyut Mukherjee presents “Music for Peace” concert to welcome New Year
28 December 2021, Kolkata: This year’s presentation of Rhythm Express Global Art Presenter and Kalyani Ray Memorial Trust was the “Music for Peace” concert. It was by the GiMA awardee Pandit Prodyut Mukherjee.
COVID-19 had to stand by the people who had resorted to music to get out of this crisis. Various performing artists and musicians have been passing through such a helpless time, working under house arrest. It was meant for peace through music. Recently, Pandit Prodyut Mukherjee has created Green Tabla to spread messages regarding environmental issues. It was started with performances like “within you” from the GiMA winning album Rhythm Express-Moods, followed by Music For Peace, Sare Jahan Se Achha, and so on.
Earlier, Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt, Salil Bhatt, Sraboni Sen, Saheb Chattopadhyay performed in Peace Concert. Pandit Prodyut Mukherjee said, “On this auspicious day like Christmas, we had this program with the message of world peace through world music. Lord Jesus who spoke of humanity, of peace. Music for Peace was held on this day in remembrance of him. “
