Vladimir Putin sent greetings to President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Mohammad Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina on the 50^th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two states.

Russia,25 January 2022

The message reads, in part:

“For the past half a century, ties between Moscow and Dhaka have been developing in the spirit of friendship and mutual respect.

I am confident that we will work together to further expand constructive bilateral cooperation in various fields. This fully meets the interests of the peoples of Russia and Bangladesh and contributes to strengthening regional stability and security.”
