BSF DISTRIBUTED ESSENTIAL ITEMS TO DIFFERENTLY-ABLED, WOMEN AND YOUTH UNDER CIVIC ACTION PROGRAM
On 26 January, 2022 from 1400 hours to 1530 hours, the troops of Border Out Post Meghna, 141 Batallion deployed in the border area of Sector Berhampur under South Bengal Frontier distributed essential goods to the needy people residing in the border area to create a good image of Border Security Force in their minds and to develop the good mentality and mutual trust.
During this program many villagers from the villages of Meghna, Charmeghna, Narsharipara came to the camp in which a large number of children along with men and women also participated. Wheel chairs were distributed to the differently-abled, sewing machines distributed to make women self-reliant and enhance their working style, as well as volleyball ,football and nets distributed to increase the interest of the youth towards sports. The Head and members of the nearby villages were also present in this camp, who made people aware of the camp.
The people of the area highly appreciated the camp and urged the BSF to organize more and more such camps in the future.
The Public Relations Officer has expressed happiness towards the 141 Battalion for organizing this camp. He added that such programs create a good image of the force and develop a sense of security among the citizens. He also stated that such programs will be organized in the border areas in the future as well.
