
INFILTRATION BY A MINOR GIRL FROM THE FEAR OF BEING BEATEN BY HER FATHER, BSF HANDED OVER THE CHILD TO WELFARE COMMITTEE FOR HER BETTER FUTURE

There was so much fear of her father in the heart and mind of the child that he left the country. Such incident came to the fore in North 24 Parganas district, in which on February 17, 2022, at around 1745 hrs, the Border Out Post Ranghat, Adhoc VII Battalion, BSF troops apprehended a minor girl who was illegally entering India by crossing the International Boundary.
The apprehended minor has been identified as Sufi (fictitious name), age 15 years, District-Zenaidah, Bangladesh.
Sufi revealed that her father beats her mercilessly for no reason. Because of which she decided to leave the house. She further revealed that she does not want to go back to her home as her father will torture her again.
The Border Security Force handed over the minor girl to the Police Station Baghdah and also informed the Child Welfare Committee. Police handed over the minor girl to Child Line NGO with the help of Child Welfare Committee.
The Public Relations Officer of South Bengal Frontier stated that the Border Security Force is taking strict measures to prevent infiltration along the Indo-Bangladesh border, due to which people crossing the International Boundary are being caught, among them sometimes a minor girl is also apprehended. which are handed over to child development institutions through the police so that they can have a better future.
