BORDER COORDINATION CONFERENCE BETWEEN THE SECTOR COMMANDERS OF THE BORDER SECURITY FORCE (BSF) MALDA AND THE SECTOR COMMANDER OF THE BORDER GUARD BANGLADESH (BGB) RAJSHAHI CONCLUDED IN BANGLADESH ON WEDNESDAY

A Sector Commander Level Co-ordination Meeting was held on 16 March, 2022 from around 1100 hrs to 1500 hrs, at Sonamasjid, Border Out Post of 59 Battalion, BGB Bangladesh.

The BSF delegation was led by Sudhir Hooda, DIG, BSF, Sector Malda. A total of 13 officers including the Commanding Officers of 35 Battalion, 44 Battalion, 159 Battalion, 78 Battalion, 70 Battalion, 117 Battalion and 141 Battalion BSF participated with him.

The BGB delegation was led by Col M D Anwar Latif Khan, BPM (Bar), psc, Additional Director General, Sector Commander, North West Zone, Rajshahi. A total of 12 officers including the Commanding Officer of 59 BGB, 53 BGB, 16 BGB, 1 BGB attended the meeting with him in the delegation.

In the inaugural address, the BGB delegation extended a very warm welcome to the BSF delegation in Bangladesh. Sector Commander BGB expressed gratitude to the BSF delegation for accepting the invitation for the Border Coordination Meeting.

Both the Sector Commanders reiterated that the “Coordinated Border Management Plan (CBMP)” is a tool that has been developed by both the Border Security Forces for effective border management. The responsibility for its actual implementation on the ground rests with the commanders, yet there is always room for improvement in the idea of ​​cooperation and understanding between us.

After discussing the agenda points, Sector Commander Malda expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the kindness and warm hospitality extended to the BSF delegation on arrival in Bangladesh. The official hoped that regular coordination conferences and frequent meetings at all levels should continue which would help in resolving bilateral issues and existing cordial relations.

The meeting ended in a cordial atmosphere.
