Governor of Telangana, Smt. Tamilisai Soundararajan inaugurated the two-day Mega cultural extravaganza, which will be held on 29th and 30th March 2022 at the Arts and Science College Ground, Warangal. The Union Minister of Culture, Tourism, and DoNER, Shri G. The third leg of the Mahotsav will be held in Hyderabad for 3 days from 1st to 3rd April, 2022.

Smt. Tamilisai Soundararajan, addressing the gathering at the inaugural ceremony said, we are celebrating this great moment here because of the sacrifices of so many freedom fighters. I salute all the freedom fighters who relentlessly fought for our independence. Here I am honoured to inaugurate the exhibition exclusively displaying the valour and sacrifice of the freedom fighters from the Telugu land. Because of these freedom fighters we are breathing free air, drinking free water, walking freely, working freely, achieving freely, and therefore need to remember the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. As the Prime Minister said, because of these freedom fighters we are in a position to celebrate our independence. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, it’s the culture that unites us, and having culture as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav needs to be lauded. The historic city of Warangal becoming the venue for such a cultural extravaganza make it memorable. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was the one who united all the freedom fighters from all over the world and came to the country to fight against the Britishers. Our freedom struggle should be highlighted to the youngsters, they should be made aware of how much struggle they put in to achieve our independence. There are several unsung heroes among these freedom fighters, they deserve our tributes and our youngsters should know about their sacrifices, that is the biggest salute to our freedom fighters.

The Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav 2022, had an auspicious beginning with colourful performances by local artists and choreographed folk dances, performed impromptu throughout the two days on stage and among the audience.
