Intra College Competition on ‘Best out of Waste’
Kolkata 30th May, 2022: The Nature Club of J.D. Birla institute (Department of Management) hosted an intra college Competition on ‘Best out of Waste’ on 28th May 2022 at the Management Campus with an objective to create awareness among the youth about the usefulness of recycling, provoking creativity in them and also encouraging their entrepreneurial skills.
The participating teams made recycled products out of waste materials provided by the organizers, prepared marketing plans for the product, and presented the plan before a panel of jury. The event was judged by Mr. Rahul Lodha (Environmental Activist, in sustainable agriculture, IIT alumnus), Ms. Kavita Agarwal (Entrepreneur, member of TEDx, President, National Child Care Council, Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry)and Prof. Amita Dutta (Assistant Professor, JDBI).
The teams were evaluated on criteria such as innovation and creativity, aesthetics, pricing, and marketing presentation.
