Hyderabad, July 2022: BNI (Business Network International), India, celebrated crossing the momentous milestone of 40000+ members, at HITEX, today. Chief Guest and the legendary marketing guru, Prahlad Kakkar, unveiled the placard inscribed with the landmark figure on the occasion. Sanjana Shah, Executive Director, BNI Hyderabad, other dignitaries and over 800 entrepreneurs, graced the occasion.
BNI hosted the biggest business networking initiative Hyderabad ever witnessed, the BNI Networking Conclave, on the occasion. Entrepreneurs comprising of a mix of BNI members and non BNI business persons, explored opportunities of potential collaboration and several found new business partners and avenues of businesses growth. The session concluded with Prahlad Kakkar sharing some valuable insights and strategies, specifically for the MSME owners, to elevate their businesses to the next level.
Speaking on the occasion Sanjana Shah said, Hyderabad’s biggest networking initiative, the BNI Networking Conclave has brought together close to one thousand entrepreneurs under one roof. This Conclave is enabling all these entrepreneurs to build relationships and grow their business network, and simultaneously explore opportunities of business and collaborations. This Conclave will reap huge benefits for each of them in the days to come. Mr Prahalad Kakkar during his talk enlightened us on the importance of branding for SMEs.
Prahlad Kakkar said, people who create value for others become valuable to everyone else, there is deep similarity with brands too. Brand building is basically a consumptive exercise. Only those Brands which add value to its consumers will live and go on to create history. Just not that, the brand also adds value to the person who invests in it. Owning a brand which creates value can bring happiness to the brand owner. Elaborating on advertising he said, often advertising actually creates an artificial value which didn’t exist and the consumer pays for the image that is created around advertising for that product. That is the power of advertising and the power of building brands. How do we create value in a creative process, I could never asses it, when I created advertisements I was never in a position to attribute the value it will create. Many of those iconic Ads are still relevant even after two decades of their creation, though the life of an Ad is just six months. Brand values are often built around stories which is manifold powerful and resonate and remain many years even after the brand has died. If we present facts and figures about our brand, they often turn out to be drab and boring, therefore we need to tell stories, only with stories we get engagement. When we get engagement, we get conversions and we get value.
