Himalayan mountaineering Institute in collaboration with Air force Station, Kurseong undertook the Tiranga Yatra from the Institute. The Tiranga Yatra was flagged off by Maj Naseef Sakir and the Team was led by Gp Capt Jai Kishan, Principal, and Sqn Ldr Rathi. The Team interacted enroute with the locals and tourists and paid tribute to fallen soldiers at Gorkha War Memorial, Batasia and also displayed a 750 sqft National Flag.
(b) During the flag display, the team interacted with tourists, students,s and shopkeepers and encouraged people to bring the Indian flag home and hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence. The team further continued the Tiranga Yatra towards Air Force Station, Kurseong where again 750 sqft displayed. The Team was received by Wg Cdr Sanjeev Sajwan and Air Warriors and Families of Air Force Station, Kurseong.
