SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY OBSERVES VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK

Ms. Archana Joshi, General Manager, South Eastern Railway (SER) administered Integrity Pledge to officers and staff of SER Headquarters on Monday (October 31, 22) as a part of the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week from October 31 to November 6, 2022. This year the theme of Vigilance Awareness Week is “Corruption-free India for a developed Nation”.
Shri Atulya Sinha, Additional General Manager, Sri Vijay Kumar Panjiar, Senior Deputy General Manager and Chief Vigilance Officer, SER, and other Principal Heads of Departments, along with officers and staff, attended the oath-taking ceremony.
SER officials took a pledge to follow probity and rule of law in all walks of life; to neither take nor offer a bribe to perform all tasks in an honest and transparent manner; to act in the public interest; to lead by example, exhibiting integrity in personal behaviour and to report any incident of corruption to the appropriate agency. The objective of observance of Vigilance Awareness Week is to promote transparency, integrity, and accountability as well as to create increased awareness amongst the railway employees, the public, and stakeholders to participate in the fight against corruption.
During Vigilance Awareness Week, different programmes like Seminars, Workshops, Vendors Meet, Street plays, Walkathons, Quiz competitions, Essay/Poster- making / Slogan writing Competitions, etc. will be organised over the SER jurisdiction. Vigilance Awareness Week is also being observed in four divisions of SER viz. Kharagpur, Adra, Ranchi and Chakradharpur.
