TAKING OVER THE CHARGE OF DIRECTOR, IIT BHUBANESWAR
17th November, 2022, Bhubaneswar: Shreepad Karmalkar, Professor of Electrical Engineering Department, IIT Madras, has taken over as the new Director of IIT Bhubaneswar w.e.f. 17th November 2022. He succeeded Prof. V K Tewari, Director, IIT Kharagpur who was in additional charge of IIT Bhubaneswar from 2nd April 2022.
Prof. Karmalkar received the B. Tech and accelerated PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), in 1983 and 1989 respectively. His areas of interest are Semiconductor Devices and Education. Prior to joining IIT Bhubaneswar, he was the Head, Educational Technology Cell, IIT Madras.
The new Director took charge in the presence of Deans, Professors and the Registrar of the Institute.
