Earlier this week, from 2nd Dec to 4th December, the City of Kolkata saw the biggest show by the Geriatric Society of India.
Apart from the more than 100 speakers placing their valued papers for the people to listen and understand, many more discussions on various aspects of Geriatric treatments opened up the flood of knowledge for the practitioners and support systems.
During this event, Doctor Dhires Chowdhury got the “Fellow of Geriatric Society of India” status.
In his social media handle he said, “FGSI received on 4th December 2022 at the Biswa Convention Centre from the National President of GSI doctor Kaushik Ranjan Das, National General Secretary of GSI doctor Omprakash Sharma and Patron of GSI doctor V. K. Arora in the 18th International Conference on Geriatrics and Gerontology – GSICON – 2022 along with other 15 physicians from all over the nation out of which 6 from Bengal.
Receiving recognition at my own city and in front of my seniors and colleagues is obviously my extra pleasure.
This special achievement definitely motivated my work in the coming days and increased my commitment and work responsibility also…

Doctor Dhires Choudhury is also known for running his NGO BANCHBO means “Let’s Live Again” a unit to help not only old age people but also do social services at a large citizen base in Sundarban.
