BSF JAWANS APPREHENDED TWO SMUGGLERS, WHILE SMUGGLING PHENSEDYL ON THE BORDER

On 27th December, 2022, jawans of Border Out Post Hakimpur, 112 Battalion under South Bengal Frontier apprehended a smuggler with 153 bottles of Phensedyl from their area of responsibility. The apprehended smuggler has been identified as Rakibul Sardar, District North 24 Parganas.
An another incident, occurred on 28th December, 2022, in the area of Border Out Post Ashridah, 35 Battalion. On the basis of intelligence, the jawans conducted a search operation in their area of responsibility. During the search, the jawans apprehended a Bangladeshi smuggler near the Border from whom 151 bottles of Phensedyl were seized. The apprehended smuggler has been identified as Eshob Sheikh, District Rajshahi. In both the cases the estimated value of seized Phensedyl is 62,414/- rupees.
The seized goods and smugglers were handed over to Police Station Swarupnagar and Lalgola respectively for further legal action.
Spokesman of South Bengal Frontier stated that BSF jawans always perform their duty keeping vigil on the Border due to which smugglers do not get success in their ill-intentioned activities. He further stated that both the BSF and the local Police are working together to apprehend the smugglers.
