METRO’S WOMEN TABLE-TENNIS PLAYERS SECURE 1ST AND 3RD POSITIONS IN THE NATIONAL RANKING TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP

Kolkata, Date: 22.01.2023.

          Metro Railway’s women Table Tennis players have secured the 1st and 3rd positions in the National Ranking Table Tennis Championship, 2022 held at Vadodara, Gujarat from 15th to 20th January 2023.

Ms. Moumita Dutta, representing Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB) secured the 1st position in the individual event by defeating Ms.Archana Kamath of Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) in the final.  Ms. Paimantee Baishya secured the 3rd position in the individual event of this championship. Both Moumita Dutta and Paimantee Baishya are staff of Metro Railway.

In the final, Moumita Dutta defeated ex-national Champion Archana Kamath by 11-08,10-12,11-8,11-7,11-6.

Players from different states and Sports Promotion Boards participated in this Championship.
