ROZGAR MELA – THE HISTORIC MEGA RECRUITMENT DRIVE LAUNCHED BY HON’BLE PRIME MINISTER

Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister launched Rozgar Mela, ‘The Historic Mega Recruitment Drive’ for more than 71,000 new appointees through video conferencing today, i.e. on 13.04.2023. In this biggest ever recruitment drive, new appointees were handed over appointment letters in different central government ministries and departments at 45 different venues across the country as a part of the Central Government’s endeavour to provide around one lakh new jobs every month.
In his inspiring speech, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi congratulated all the new appointees and their family members and conveyed his best wishes to them. Central Government has been relentlessly trying to fulfil the aspirations of the youth of the country and is determined to give them all assistances. This Rozgar Mela is a testimony to fulfil the commitment given to the youth by the government, he remarked. Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan has ushered in a new era of development and industrial growth, providing lakhs of jobs to the youths across cities and villages of our country, Honourable Prime Minister said. He further added that after 2014, a sea change has taken place in government’s approach and now 6 km Metro lines are being added in every month and Railway electrification has gained an unprecedented momentum in post 2014 era. Requesting all the new appointees to live up to the expectations of others, Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi advised them to work for making a developed India.
Smt. Pratima Bhoumik, Hon’ble Minister of State, Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India was present at the Rozgar Mela venue at Kolkata wherein as a part of Central Government’s relentless endeavour to generate more and more employment in a mission mode, total 192 new appointees have been handed over appointment letters for posting at different departments of Central Government at Dr B.C. Roy Auditorium, Sealdah. Speaking on the occasion, Smt. Pratima Bhoumik, Hon’ble Minister asked about the wellbeing of the people of Kolkata. She described the event as a historic moment while Hon’ble Prime Minister has brought employment opportunity at the doorstep of the unemployed youth at every nook and corner of the country. She also highlighted the success of this Mega Recruitment Drive being organized this time by the Indian Railways, the Lifeline of Nation. Smt. Pratima Bhoumik, Hon’ble Union Minister of State handed over the appointment letters to the candidates in different Central Government departments like Home Ministry, India Post, Defence, Indian Railways, Revenue, Telecommunications, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Higher Education etc.
The new appointees selected from across the country will join the Central Government offices at various levels. The new appointees will play a pivotal role in nation building by infusing innovative ideas, applying cutting edge technologies in government services and ensuring public participation.
Inspired with the words of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the new appointees showed much enthusiasm to take over their new responsibilities in various Central Government departments and rushed to take Selfies in commemoration of this historic event of Rozgar Mela.
Shri Arun Arora, General Manager / Eastern Railway, Shri Chetan Kumar Srivastava, Additional General Manager, Smt. Zarina Firdausi, Principal Chief Personnel Officer, Eastern Railway, Shri Deepak Nigam, Divisional Railway Manager/Sealdah, and other dignitaries also graced the occasion.
