Ambedkar Jayanti observed at IIM Jammu with patriotic fervor

On the historic occasion of the 132nd birth anniversary of the Father of the Indian Constitution, Dr. Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, IIM Jammu observed Ambedkar Jayanti on 14th April 2023 with patriotic fervor. Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean Academics, Cmdr. Kesavan Baskkaran, Chief Administrative Officer, Shri Shailesh Lohiya, Librarian, faculty, officers, staff, and students of IIM Jammu offered floral tributes to Dr. B.R Ambedkar on his 132nd birth anniversary.
Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu termed Dr. B.R. Ambedkar as the real architect of the Indian Constitution. He reiterated that Baba Saheb was the epitome of social equality, and welfare for all sections of society. He led millions of the oppressed to a life of self-respect, dignity, and responsibility and showed them a path that not only led to their development but also the development of India.
Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean of Academics mentioned Dr. B.R. Ambedkar as a great statesman who was a unifying force by being head of the constitution drafting committee. He also stressed that Dr. Ambedkar is a great inspiration for all of us as he teaches us how to live for the people and how to dedicate life to the upliftment of the underprivileged and he is always committed to unity in society.
The IPM second batch students put forward a PowerPoint presentation on the life and legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar along with patriotic songs sung in many regional languages ranging from Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, etc. During the program, all the faculty, officers, staff, and student members spoke about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and his extensive contribution to the nation.
