Press meet for Lakshaya program of Rotary Club.
A press meet was held on 22nd April at 3.00 pm. Rotary International President Robart Gordon Ross Mclnally of 2023 – 24 and other significant World Leaders participated in the Press meeting as they deliberated on the intended Area of Focus and their associated humanitarian programs that are planned to be executed around the world and in India in Particular in 2023-24. President Robart Gordon Ross Mclnally and other world leaders also gave directions to the District Governors Elect’s and their teams about the Policies and Programs.
Lakhshya is a Program for Rotary Planning and Goal Setting for the year 2023- 23. The intended participants would be District Governors of 2023 – 24 and their Front line Team from 42 Rotary Districts in India, Nepal & Srilanka.
The Rotary Club of Calcutta became the first Rotary club chartered in India on 1 January 1920. Today, more than 3,000 clubs operate throughout the country. The Rotary is a Voluntary Service Organization rendering Humanitarian services in more than 250 countries for the last 118 years. It is pertinent to note that the Rotary in India stands No:- 1 in the numbers and the value of Welfare Projects executed and stands at No: 2 in Giving to the Rotary Foundation in the world. They also have been growing in Membership in significant numbers.
