MCCI thanks Govt. of West Bengal for EXTENDING the last date for Online Submission of Profession Tax Return for FY 2022-23 till 31st May 2023
Shri Namit Bajoria, President, of the Merchants’ Chamber of Commerce & Industry has sincerely thanked the Government of West Bengal for according to due priority to the request of MCCI for extending the last date of online filing of Profession Tax Returns till 31st May 2023.
Shri Bajoria mentioned that the Chamber had sent two Representations to Mr. Khalid Aizaz Anwar, IAS, Commissioner, State Taxes, Govt of West Bengal regarding the immense issues faced by industry and trade during online submission of Profession Tax Return for the year ending on 31st March 2023 due to technical glitch in the system.
The Chamber had requested the Commissionerate to extend the date of submission from 30th April 2023 to 31st May 2023, which would enable industry and trade to submit the said return without any problem for compliance with the requirement.
The Commissioner, State Taxes of Govt of West Bengal has kindly agreed to the above and extended the date till 31st May 2023 for online Return filing and till 7th June 2023 for submission of paper Return.
