COAST GUARD COMMANDER EASTERN SEA BOARD VISITS COAST GUARD REGION NORTH-EAST
Additional Director General S Paramesh, PTM,TM, Coast Guard Commander, Eastern Seaboard visited Coast Guard Region North East 07-10 May 23. During his visit the Flag Officer reviewed the infrastructure development, operational preparedness & the readiness of the region towards its mandated Coast Guard cater and the progress of infrastructure projects.
The Flag Officer addressed the officers during his visit to the North East Regional Headquarters, Kolkata on 08 May 23 and apprised them on the perspective plans, augmentation of Coast Guard fleet and international cooperation initiative in the service. The flag officer commended the Regional Headquarters for taking initiatives to improve the maritime domain awareness in the region and appreciated the efforts put in to maintain close liaison with others stakeholders to ensure a safer sea for unobstructed economic activities.
ADG S Paramesh, visited District Headquarters West Bengal at Haldia on 9-10 May 23 and embarked onboard a Coast Guard Air Cushion Vessel (ACV) to review the operational readiness of CG units in the state of West Bengal. The Flag Officer reviewed the ongoing/forthcoming infrastructure projects and interacted with Officers and men at Haldia. He appreciated the steps taken by District Headquarters (West Bengal) in taking all the concerned agencies together and improving the coastal security along the coast of West Bengal.
