CBI INVESTIGATION RECOMMENDED BY RAILWAY BOARD FOR THE INCIDENT OF DERAILMENT NEAR BAHANAGA BAZAR STATION: HON’BLE MR INFORMED

Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Hon’ble Minister for Railways at a press conference in Bhubaneswar this evening informed the media people that the restoration work is going on a war footing following the derailment of trains at Bahanaga Bazar station on 02.06.2023. The Railway tracks of the two main lines in the section are already made fit. Works related to overhead power and other works are in progress. Special initiatives have been taken for all possible treatment of all the injured admitted at different hospitals at Balasore, Cuttack & Bhadrak.
Hon’ble Railway Minister also informed in the Press Meet that keeping in view the situation of the accident and administrative findings, Railway Board is recommending a CBI probe for further investigation into the derailment incident.
