CELEBRATION OF 9th INTERNATIONAL DAY OF YOGA IN EASTERN THEATRE

International Day of Yoga is celebrated annually to raise global awareness about the numerous advantages of practicing yoga. The United Nations General Assembly declared June 21st as the International Day of Yoga to recognize the holistic benefits of yoga for individuals and societies.

The day was celebrated all across Eastern Command Theatre by conducting Yoga classes as per the laid down “Common Yoga Protocol”. From military stations to border areas in the mountains, soldiers and their families enthusiastically participated in the event. Under the guidance of expert yoga instructors, thousands of soldiers from various units and formations within the Eastern Command Theatre participated in the yoga sessions, demonstrating their dedication to maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle. The yoga events encompassed a diverse range of yoga practices, including asanas, pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation techniques.
