Caught in a web of choices, The Trial – Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha follows the journey of Noyonika as she embarks on a journey that truly makes her stand the test of time after her husband’s betrayal. Disney+ Hotstar presents a gritty courtroom drama, The Trial – Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha which showcases this gripping trial of life as Noyonika navigates through the curveballs life throws at her. The show stars Padma Shri awardee, Kajol as Noyonika Sengupta along with Sheeba Chaddha, Jisshu Sengupta, Alyy Khan, Kubbra Sait, and Gaurav Pandey in key roles. Produced by Banijay Asia, The Trial – Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha is directed by Suparn S Varma and will begin streaming on 14th July 2023, exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar.
India’s most desirable husband and every woman’s heartthrob Jisshu Sengupta along with director and showrunner Suparn S. Varma embarked on a promotional tour for their upcoming web series The Trial – Pyaar, Kaanoonin Kolkata, the City of Joy on July 4th and 5th. The sun-kissed streets of Kolkata became their stage as they promoted their web series and went for a meal at their favorite restaurant – Mocambo.
Reflecting on his experience in Kolkata, Suparn S. Varma, Director and Showrunner of Disney+ Hotstar’sThe Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha stated, “Kolkata has been a love affair for most of my life. Going back to the city was an absolutely joyful experience: the people, the food, the music, and visiting various offices, whether it’s TV channels or radio stations, I can’t wait to be back! Jisshu Sengupta, a prodigal son returning to his beloved hometown said, “I feel great coming back to my city and promoting a show which is not Bangla but Hindi and receiving the same excitement! When I come to Kolkata all my memories come rushing back, especially with the rains being back and the memories of playing in these rains. The best part is that I get to visit my children, especially the younger ones because most of the time due to my work I am staying in Mumbai and Hyderabad.
