GENERAL MANAGER /EASTERN RAILWAY INSPECTED SEALDAH STATION

Shri Amar Prakash Dwivedi, General Manager, Eastern Railway inspected the re-developmental works over Sealdah station under Amrit Bharat Scheme. He reviewed the Master Plan of Sealdah station as envisaged under the scheme and emphasised its implementation in phases to enhance the facilities to the maximum extent.
He also inspected the Executive Lounge, Upper-Class Waiting Room, Second Class Waiting Room, Abhivadan Waiting Room, Family Mall, Safe Bubble (waiting area for lady passengers), Crew Rest Room, Meditation, Reading Room, Seminar Hall, Fashion City, Fashion Store, Luggage Booking Office, Cloak Room, RPF Lobby, CCTV Room & other Kiosks. He personally sensitized and interacted with the loco pilots and Guards regarding safety and punctuality.
During his inspection, Shri Dwivedi, General Manager advised the food stalls to strictly display “No Bill No Payment” in counters and follow the same religiously. He also visited the base kitchen and emphasised a collection of periodic samples of food items for checking at authorized laboratories to ensure the hygienic quality of food. He also instructed for the cleanliness of Pantry Cars and ensure pest control measures on time for the entire rake of Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and Duronto trains. He was accompanied by the Principal Chief Commercial Manager, IG-cum-Principal Chief Security Commissioner, Divisional Railway Manager/Sealdah, and other divisional officers of the Sealdah division.
During the visit to Sealdah, today, Shri Amar Prakash Dwivedi, General Manager opened a restroom for Traveling Ticket Examiners (TTE) for proper rest of the TTEs travelling on duty in long-distance trains from other Divisions and Zones.
Shri Dwivedi, General Manager /Eastern Railway inspected the display of Digital Train Charting, Digital Navigation through QR Code to find out the exact location of the coaches or trains, passenger amenity points etc. He interacted with the passengers and enquired about the beautification of the station building & circulating area as well as the generation of non-fare revenue from the branch officers.
General Manager/Eastern Railway expressed his satisfaction with the overall developmental work of Sealdah station and appreciated team Sealdah.
