Smt. Rashmi Shukla, IPS, Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal is on a visit to Frontier Guwahati Sonapur w.e.f 06.08.2023 to 08.08.2023. Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal called on Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, and expressed gratitude on behalf of the force by presenting him with a memento and sapling.
Thereafter she was welcomed at Frontier Headquarters Sonapur, Guwahati with a Guard of Honour. She took stock of the work and security preparedness being maintained by the SSB on the Bhutan Border and issued necessary directions while reviewing the works.
Smt. Rashmi Shukla, IPS, Director General, SSB also addressed a Sainik Sammelan and passed directions regarding the performance of duties with all sincerity and honesty with good behavior towards the border population.
On dated 07/08/2023, a meeting was held by the DG SSB with the DGP of Assam Police Sh. G.P Singh, IPS and exchange pleasantries. Thereafter she visited Sector Hqs SSB Rangia and 24th Bn Hqr Rangia and held a review meeting followed by a Sanik Sammelan in which the force personnel was motivated by the DG, SSB to face the problems and challenges during the course of duty with full strength. After that, the DG and SSB visited the Darranga Bhutan gate and interacted with SP & DC of Distt Samdrup Jongkhar besides SSB Jawans on duty at the Bhutan Gate. DG, SSB visited BOP Daranga and held a Sanik Sammelan with all the Jawans and officers of the unit and motivated force personnel for utmost sincere and effective duties. She further enquired on all welfare-related issues with the BOP and unit specially of the Mahila components deployed on IBB.
