Eastern Railway ensures ‘zero compromise’ on safety

In a bid to ensure the smooth and safe movement of trains, the Eastern Railways has launched more than 14 safety drives from April to July 23 and has been one of the best-performing Railway zones in terms of safety in train operations. To improve overall safety, more than 3619 Safety inspections were conducted by our officers and inspectors from April – July 2023. Railway employees, passengers, and family members of our crew have also been counselled and sensitized from time to time. Eastern Railway is making all efforts to make available corridor blocks for the maintenance of assets.
A lot of emphasis is being placed on the proper planning and utilization of corridor blocks for the safety and reliability of our train operations. Eastern Railway has been successful in reducing high crew duty hours and also in running trains after proper brake power certification.
Shri Amar Prakash Dwivedi General Manager/Eastern Railway puts special emphasis on its employees’ operational practices to strengthen passengers’ safety. The station, operating, gate, and maintenance staff are always directed to be vigilant during their duty hours. Safety is and will always remain the top priority of Eastern Railway.
