REGULATION OF TRAINS FOR VARANASI YARD REMODELING WORK OVER NORTHERN RAILWAY
Kolkata, August 29, 2023:
Yard remodeling work in railways is crucial for several reasons. It aims to modernize and optimize rail yards, which are vital hubs for managing train operations and cargo movement. By reconfiguring tracks, updating signaling systems, and enhancing infrastructure, yard remodeling improves operational efficiency, reduces congestion, and enhances safety. This results in smoother train movements, shorter turnaround times, and increased capacity to handle growing freight demands, ultimately leading to a more reliable and cost-effective rail transportation system. Accordingly, Pre Non-interlocking/ Non-Interlocking work in connection with the remodeling of Varanasi Yard over Lucknow Division has been planned from 01.09.2023 to 15.10.2023. Consequently, the following arrangements have been made for train running :

• 13553 Asansol-Varanasi MEMU Express (Journey commencing from 31.08.2023 to 15.10.2023)
• 13554 Varanasi-Asansol MEMU Express (JCO 01.09.2023 to 16.10.2023)
• 22323 Kolkata-Gazipur City Shabdbhedi Express (JCO on 31/08, 7/09, 14/09, 21/09, 28/09, 5/10 & 12/10/2023)
• 22324 Gazipur City-Kolkata Shabdbhedi Express (JCO 1/09, 8/09, 15/09, 22/09, 29/09, 6/10 & 13/10/2023)

Diversion:
• 13005 Howrah-Amritsar Mail (JCO on 31/08/2023) will be diverted via Dindayal Upadhyay-Varanasi-Sultanpur-Lucknow instead of Dindayal-Varanasi-Pratapgarh-Lucknow.
• 12381 Howrah-New Delhi Poorva Express (via Gaya) (JCO on 20/09, 21/09, 24/09, 27/09, 28/09, 1/10, 4/10, 5/10, 8/10, 11/10, 12/10 & 15/10/2023) will be diverted via Prayagraj-Mirzapur-Dindayal Upadhyay instead of Prayagraj-Janghai-Varanasi-Dindayal Upadhyay.
• 12382 New Delhi-Howrah Poorva Express (JCO on 22/09, 25/09, 26/09, 29/09, 2/10, 3/10, 6/10, 9/10, 10/10 & 13/10/2023) will be diverted via Dindayal Upadhyay-Mirzapur-Prayagraj instead of Dindayal Upadhyay-Varanasi-Janghai-Prayagraj.
• 12327 Howrah-Dehradun Upasana Express (JCO on 19/09, 22/09, 26/09, 29/09, 3/10, 6/10, 10/10 & 13/10/2023) will be diverted via Kiul-Barauni-Hajipur-Chhapra-Gorakhpur-Barabanki-Lucknow instead of Kiul-Patna-Ara-Buxar-Dindayal Upadhyay-Varanasi-Sultanpur-Lucknow.
• 12328 Dehradun-Howrah Upasana Express (JCO on 20/09, 23/09, 27/09, 30/09, 4/10, 7/10, 11/10 & 14/10/2023) will be diverted via Lucknow-Barabanki-Gorakhpur-Chhapra-Hajipur-Barauni-Kiul instead of Lucknow-Sultanpur-Varanasi-Dindayal Upadhyay-Buxar-Ara-Patna-Kiul.
• 12369 Howrah-Dehradun Kumbha Express (JCO on 20/09, 21/09, 23/09, 24/09, 25/09, 27/09, 28/09, 30/09, 1/10, 2/10, 4/10, 5/10, 7/10, 8/10, 9/10, 11/10, 12/10 & 14/10/2023) will be diverted via Kiul-Barauni-Hajipur-Chhapra-Gorakhpur-Barabanki-Lucknow instead of Kiul-Patna-Ara-Buxar-Dindayal Upadhyay-Varanasi-Sultanpur-Lucknow.
• 12370 Dehradun-Howrah Kumbha Express (JCO on 19/09, 21/09, 22/09, 24/09, 25/09, 26/09, 28/09, 29/09, 1/10, 2/10, 3/10, 5/10, 6/10, 8/10, 9/10, 10/10, 12/10 & 13/10/2023) will be diverted via Lucknow-Barabanki-Gorakhpur-Chhapra-Hajipur-Barauni-Kiul instead of Lucknow-Sultanpur-Varanasi-Dindayal Upadhyay-Buxar-Ara-Patna-Kiul.
• 13005 Howrah-Amritsar Mail (JCO from 19.09 to 14/10/2023) will be diverted via Kiul-Barauni-Hajipur-Chhapra-Gorakhpur-Barabanki-Lucknow instead of Kiul-Patna-Ara-Buxar-Dindayal Upadhyay-Varanasi-Pratapgarh-Lucknow.
• 13006 Amritsar-Howrah Mail (JCO from 19/09 to 14/10/2023) will be diverted via Lucknow-Barabanki-Gorakhpur-Chhapra-Hajipur-Barauni-Kiul instead of Lucknow-Pratapgarh-Varanasi-DindayalUpadhyay-Buxar-Ara-Patna-Kiul.
• 13009 Howrah-Yog Nagari Rishikesh Doon Express (JCO from 19/09 to 14/10/2023) will be diverted via Asansol-Barauni-Hajipur-Chhapra- Gorakhpur-Ayodhya instead of Asansol-Dhanbad-Gaya-Sasaram-Dindayal Upadhyay-Varanasi-Shahganj-Ayodhya.
• 13010 Yog Nagari Rishikesh-Howrah Doon Express (JCO from 19/09 to 14/10/2023) will be diverted via Ayodhya-Gorakhpur-Chhapra-Hajipur-Barauni-Asansol instead of Ayodhya-Shahganj-Varanasi-Dindayal Upadhyay-Sasaram-Gaya-Dhanbad-Asansol.
• 13167 Kolkata – Agra Cantt. Weekly Express (JCO on 21/09, 28/09, 5/10 & 12/10/2023) will be diverted via Dindayal Upadhyay-Prayagraj-Kanpur Central instead of Dindayal Upadhyay-Varanasi-Pratapgarh-Lucknow-Kanpur Central.
• 13168 Agra Cantt.-Kolkata Weekly Express (JCO on 23/09, 30/09, 7/10 & 14/10/2023) will be diverted via Kanpur Central-Prayagraj-Dindayal Upadhyay instead of Kanpur Central-Lucknow-Pratapgarh-Varanasi-Dindayal Upadhyay.
• 13413 Malda Town-Delhi Farakka Express (JCO on 21/09, 23/09, 25/09, 28/09, 30/09, 2/10, 5/10, 7/10, 9/10, 12/10 & 14/10/2023) will be diverted via Dindayal Upadhyay-Prayagraj-Kanpur Central instead of Dindayal Upadhyay-Varanasi-Sultanpur-Lucknow-Kanpur Central.
• 13414 Delhi-Malda Town Farakka Express (JCO on 20/09, 23/09, 25/09, 27/09, 30/09, 2/10, 4/10, 7/10, 9/10, 11/10 & 14/10/2023) will be diverted via Kanpur Central-Prayagraj-Dindayal Upadhyay instead of Kanpur Central-Lucknow-Sultanpur-Varanasi-Dindayal Upadhyay.
• 13483 Malda Town-Delhi Farakka Express (JCO on 19/09, 20/09, 22/09, 24/09, 26/09, 27/09, 29/09, 1/10, 3/10, 4/10, 6/10, 8/10, 10/10, 11/10 & 13/10/2023) will be diverted via Dindayal Upadhyay-Prayagraj-Kanpur Central instead of Dindayal Upadhyay-Varanasi-Ayodhya-Lucknow-Kanpur Central.
• 13484 Delhi-Malda Town Farakka Express (JCO on 21/09, 22/09, 24/09, 26/09, 28/09, 29/09, 1/10, 3/10, 5/10, 6/10, 8/10, 10/10, 12/10 & 13/10/2023) will be diverted via Kanpur Central-Prayagraj-Dindayal Upadhyay instead of Kanpur Central-Lucknow-Ayodhya-Varanasi-Dindayal Upadhyay.
• 12333 Howrah-Prayagraj Vibhuti Express (JCO from 19/09 to 14/10/2023) will be diverted via Kiul-Barauni-Hajipur-Chhapra-Ballia-Varanasi City-Varanasi-Banaras-Prayagraj Rambag instead of Kiul-Patna-Ara-Buxar-Dindayal Upadhya-Varanasi.
• 12334 Prayagraj -Howrah Vibhuti Express (JCO from 20/09 to 15/10/2023) will be diverted via Prayagraj Rambag-Banaras-Varanasi-Varanasi City-Ballia-Chhapra-Hajipur-Barauni-Kiul instead of Varanasi-Dindayal Upadhyay-Buxar-Ara-Patna-Kiul.
Rescheduling:
12331 Howrah-Jammu Tawi Himgiri Express (JCO on 19/09, 22/09, 23/09, 26/09, 29/09, 30/09, 3/10, 6/10, 7/10, 10/10, 13/10 & 14/10/2023) will be rescheduled by 3 hours.
Moreover, 12370 Dehradun-Howrah Kumbha Express (JCO 10.09.2023) and 13484 Delhi-Malda Town Farakka Express (JCO 10.09.2023) will be controlled for 180 minutes and 70 minutes respectively enroute.
Inconvenience to be caused to the passengers is deeply regrated.
